The Brunch Club

HELLO! Welcome back to my blog. If you have returned, I assume you were intrigued by my first edition of Glasgow Goes Veggie and are back for more…

Or! You have been pestered by me to view the blog. Either way, I am glad you are here.

This week I have visited The Brunch Club, Glasgow.

Situated in the heart of Glasgow’s West End, The Brunch Club shares its location with some of Glasgow’s most charming buildings. The affluent area is home to Glasgow’s most cultural,  historic architecture such as the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and the University of Glasgow.

An artistic entity itself, The Brunch Club utilises brass and copper accents on the pendant lighting mirroring the minimalist vibes of an apartment in Downtown Manhattan. The décor has the homely ambience of an old public library yet feels clean and bright inside.

It’s crunch time or should I say brunch time. What better way to procrastinate from my university work? There is an excess of vegetarian options on this menu; the veg breakfast, eggs on toast, acai bowls and that’s just brekkie! The brunch options are exceptionally unique with a choice of French toast, pancakes and waffles – you will never be limited for choice.

Daring to be different from my standard veggie brunch, I opted for sweet over savoury. Perfectly pristine pancakes with chocolate ganache, peanut and almond butter topped with caramelised banana. The contrast of peanut butter and chocolate ganache produces a silky balance. This fluffy pancake is a must-have brunch option. On this occasion, my veggie friend tagged along – providing more photo opportunities! Their simplistic approach to the veggie brunch included poached eggs, avocado and toast.

The Brunch Club is an easy on the eye location for a quick munch. (Sure beats a mid-lecture sandwich scran!) This restaurant is a haven for social meet-ups as witnessed on my visit. An overall very positive experience at The Brunch Club.

                                                            Until next time,
                                                  Caitlin x
